Ginger Nguyen, BA, BS, MS, L.Ac., EAMP

Ginger is an East Asian Medicine practitioner (EAMP) and a nationally board certified Acupuncturist (L.Ac), whose expertise is in Acupuncture, Medicinal Herbs and Holistic Nutrition for pain conditions.

At the tender age of 6 months, Ginger and her 3-yr old brother were drugged up and carried onto a refugee boat in their mothers arms on a hot summer night of 1982. Her mother gave up her life in communistic post war Vietnam in seach of her husband and a better economic outlook for her two children. The family of 3 was out in the open water for 7 days and nights before they safely landed in a harbor of Hong Kong and found refuge at a UN Refugee Camp on Chimawan, Hong Kong. For over 2 years, they shared a 6x6 foot concrete cubicle, that held their entire life savings. At the age of 2.5, Ginger's family received asylum in Switzerland and they were happily reunited with their father.

Ginger was raised in the refugee slums of Bern, the capital of Switzerland. She excelled in school and studied Math and Physics at the prestigious Gymnasium Neufeld until she was sponsored to move to the United States at the age of 19. Witnessing injustice and human suffering early in life, her passion to improve the human condition started at a young age and led her to earn a BA in Political Science at UNC Wilmington with the intention of becoming a human rights lawyer.

More History

Starting in her teens, she battled obesity, ADHD, debilitating chronic fatigue and what she thought at the time was narcolepsy. Although there was apparently nothing wrong with her and "no cure" for her condition, she knew that taking hard-core prescription medicine for the rest of her life was not an option and it propelled her desperate search for an answer. Her search not only led her to discover the ancient healing powers of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine but it was a big breakthrough in her emotional and spiritual growth.

Ginger is convinced that her life purpose is to help empower patients to heal themselves with knowledge and tools to heal their bodies. She went on to earn a Bachelor's in Health Sciences and a Master's in Oriental Medicine from the Acupuncture and Massage College in Miami, FL. She completed her 3 year clinical internship at two University clinics and was chosen by the University medical staff to earn a Clinical Excellence Award in 2012.

Ginger was part of a team at the Acupuncture and Wellness Center in Poulsbo, WA, who won Best Acupuncturist Award of Korth Kitsap in 2013 and 2014

In pursuit of excellence, she moved from Miami Beach across the country to a small village called Poulsbo in Washington state to practice under one of most well known acupuncturists and herbalists in the country, Master Robert Doane. "Bob" runs one of the busiest and largest TCM clinics in the country and teaches his unique practice worldwide. It was at his clinic, the Acupuncture and Wellness Center, where Ginger mastered his unique and effective style of Acupuncture and Herbal prescription for pain relief, among other conditions. As a team, the clinic's practitioners won the Best Acupuncturist Award of North Kitsap many years in a row.

Up to date, Ginger has over 8 years of clinical experience and has performed over 20,000 acupuncture treatments, which is an unusually high number for her profession, giving her the necessary clinical experience and expertise of a top practitioner.

Ginger’s desire to bring this effective medicine to today's modern world gave birth to Swiss Acupuncture. She maximizes the body's full healing potential with an evidence based and neotraditional style of acupuncture along with Herbal Medicine, Holistic Nutrition and Patient Empowerment. Her ultimate dream is to mainstream this medicine to help millions heal their chronic and debilitating health conditions so that they can live a life full of energy and vitality and use their body as a channel to fulfill their life purpose.

"I first came to the clinic in early September (2014) with a nagging pain in my left shoulder. The injury was caused when my 90 lb labrador retriever took off at a dead run, came to the end of her leash and didn't let go of it. Ouch! The treatment I received from Ginger and the rest of the staff at the clinic was outstanding. Here it is, early October and the pain in my shoulder is a distant memory. Ginger is a very caring professional who has always addressed my concerns with dignity and respect. Thank you Ginger. May you always find Adventure, Fortune and Good Luck."
